My dear friends in Christ,<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is with overwhelming gratitude that I announce the birth of the mission of the <\/span>Gratitude Foundation. \u00a0<\/span>It is also with a deep sense of humility and unworthiness that I assume the position of executive director. \u00a0I find it an amazing privilege to serve the Lord and a solemn responsibility<\/span> a<\/span>s well<\/span>. \u00a0I never envisioned myself in the role of a priest and now as assuming this <\/span>office<\/span>. \u00a0With love for the <\/span>Lord,<\/span> I submit to His will as I hear His words, \u201cIt was I who chose you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It has been one year now since I retired from full-time parish ministry. \u00a0I miss everything involved in my priestly ministry, but preaching is what I miss the most. \u00a0Preaching for me always started with hours of prayer with God\u2019s Word. \u00a0I would always begin my prayer with the question, \u201cLord, what do you want the people to hear, what do YOU want to say to them<\/span>?<\/span>\u201d \u00a0Time and time again words came to me that I knew were not my own. \u00a0People would confirm that as they told me that they felt that God was talking<\/span>directly<\/span> to their hearts through my words. <\/span>And<\/span> I knew that the words were not mine. \u00a0I feel that God wants to continue to speak to His beloved children through me. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>As I prayed before penning this letter the Word of God to the Prophet Jeremiah came into my heart, \u201cI am making my Word like fire within you.\u201d \u00a0 \u00a0In these passing months the word of God has been burning like a fire in the depth of my soul as never before. \u00a0It is a fire within me that I could not extinguish even if I wanted to. \u00a0It is the fire of Love, a fire that cannot be contained<\/span>, a fire that must be shared. \u00a0It is the fire of the Holy Spirit seeking a voice. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus is the Eternal Word made Flesh. \u00a0Out of love for us God humbled Himself to share our humanity. \u00a0He sent His Only Begotten Son to assume our fallen human nature to transform and raise us up. \u00a0It is the historical event upon which <\/span>all<\/span> human history revolves. \u00a0<\/span>But <\/span>t<\/span>he incarnation is more than an historical event that happened two thousand years ago. \u00a0Each one of us is called to be the incarnation of God in our world. \u00a0We are all called to be temples of the Holy Spirit and therefore making the Word God flesh in us. It begins with a personal relationship with Jesus, the Eternal Word. \u00a0It is as St. Paul describes<\/span>: \u201c<\/span>It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From my own deep personal lifelong relationship with Jesus, and united with Him, I offer myself to you in my new role as executive director of the <\/span>Gratitude Foundation. \u00a0<\/span>Please join me in this mission.<\/span> Please join me in invoking the Holy Spirit to fill us, to lead us and to guide us as we pray, Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of us Your faithful and enkindle in us the fire of Your love. \u00a0Amen.<\/span><\/p>

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tI first encountered Fr. Glenn\u2019s preaching on Ash Wednesday, 2006.\u00a0 It only took one homily, and my family and I realized that Fr. Glenn has a very special gift.\u00a0 Fr. Glenn is clearly very spiritual, and that comes through in all of his homilies and reflections.\u00a0 His spirituality is not aloof, or inaccessible.\u00a0 His holiness is authentic, grounded, accessible and on fire.\u00a0 And, that fire is shared, such that the listener also becomes on fire, and inspired to go deeper with Scripture, with God and with our neighbor.\u00a0 Fr. Glenn has inspired me to engage at the deepest level and to work to find my spiritual path, always encouraging, mentoring, coaching.\u00a0 I would strongly encourage anyone who can to attend one of his Masses, homilies, or podcasts.\u00a0 Catch the fire of the Holy Spirit working through Fr. Glenn!!!\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tFr. Glenn has many charisms, which he displays by his compassion, theological intelligence, spirituality, and love of God. His compassion is continually displayed when he visits the sick of the parish. His manner of prayer and conversation is definitively a gift from God. His spirituality is very evident when he preaches. His homilies are instructive, encouraging and centered on God\u2019s infinite love for each of us. Fr. Glenn is a teacher, a mentor, and a wonderful listener who encourages those around him to follow Jesus more closely. He is Spirit filled, Spirit led and Spirit giving!\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
