One day Jesus cured ten people with leprosy. Only one returned to give thanks to God. Jesus asked the haunting question, “Where are the other nine?” (Lk. 17:17) The mission of the Gratitude Foundation is to seek out “the other nine.” We believe that too many people see life through a lens of entitlement, a vision that is not conducive to gratitude. We must meet them where they are as Jesus did. Our mission is to lead them to Jesus to give thanks to God. To reach people we need a network of missionaries living and promoting the practice of gratitude. Our mission is to educate, empower and motivate people who become contagious with gratitude, people fully alive, Spirit filled, Spirit led and Spirit giving.
Jesus said, “I came that they might have life and have it abundantly. ” (Jn. 10:10) We at the Gratitude Foundation envision a world where people are not merely existing but fully alive, living the abundant life that Jesus lived and died for. We believe that an attitude of gratitude is foundational to living the fullness of life. By practicing gratitude, we can begin to experience true and enduring love, joy, and peace. These fruits of the Holy Spirit are contagious and will ripple though society, enveloping many souls into real life, abundant and everlasting life, eternal life with God.
